Metroids attacked my laptop
I use to see people post screenshots of Windows 7. I would think "Wow that looks cool. Can't wait for it to come out". Then I saw where you can download it for free and I was thinking "Oh.... It's free?..."
Anyway I decided to download it myself and give it a try. Here is a screenshot. It runs pretty well. I only had it blue screen once (Ah, that's windows for you). Some of the features are pretty neat but there are a lot that are just bloat. I'm not going into detail because a lot of this is subject to change. After all it's a beta so I'm supposed to hate it.
Your title says Metroids attacked... WTF?
Remember how I did that 'Let's beat every Zelda game' challenge? Well now it's Metroid. Seeing as the franchise has a well defined timeline I can play the games in that order. I've already finished Zero Mission (I'm not doing the original because of that... but I did manage to beat Kraid in it). I'm Currently towards the end of Metroid Prime. After I finish that I'll do Echoes and Corruption. Then Super Metroid and Fusion.
I'm not much on the prime series so I've decided to make the major bosses as mile markers.
I'll have Omega Pirate and Meta Ridley soon.

Gamestop Stickers
Don't you hate it when you go to Gamestop and you end up purchasing the last copy of a game and have to get the display case with the sticker? Or you go there and find a black label copy of Shadow of the Colossus but you don't buy it because a USED sticker is pasted on it.
Well I'm here to convince you to purchase the games with stickers on them.
Take a look at these two games.
But wait that last one is just a plain game with no sticker on it?
Exactly! Both games came from gamestop and both had stickers on them. The bottom one has the stickers removed but you didn't know that.
What's your secret?
Glad you asked. You see it's a really simple process but you will need some stuff before we begin.
Stuff? Is this going to cost me?
Depends. Most people have this stuff laying around the house. Here's a list...
2 Paper Towels.
1 Hair Dryer (Optional but makes it 10x easier).
Some WD40 or Zippo Lighter fluid (Zippo dries faster).
A game from Gamestop.
I think I got it so what now?
First Take the Hair Dryer and let the hot air blow against the sticker you want to remove. (be sure to remove all contents from the case) The heat from the Hair Dryer will melt the adhesive so the sticker will be easier to peel off. Careful not to get too close or hold it there too long as it may melt and warp the plastic on the case. After you have heated it a bit go ahead and peel it off. It's okay if a little residue stays on the case as we're getting that off next.
Now take one of the paper towels and squirt a little WD40 on it and use that to rub off the residue. Like magic it will come right off. You'll notice that the game will be a bit oily so get the other paper towel and wipe it down.
Oh wow! The game looks like it was purchased from a store other than Gamestop.
Yep! Now your friends won't make fun of you for spending way too much money on a video game ever again!
This also works for ex-rental DVDs. I wouldn't recommend CDs as you may rip parts of the data layer getting the sticker off and permanently ruin it.

What Happend to My Design? 4
I need a cron for this. Every year I don't remember until the last minute.
This is to promote good web standards. Hopefully Mozilla will not make Firefox suck as much. I tested IE 8 and it passes acid 2. Firefox has the worst rendering now... Good thing I switched to Chrome.
